Stay up to date with the plant-based food category as it continues to evolve and grow by attending these plant-based sessions at the Winter Fancy Food Show, taking place in San Francisco at Moscone Center January 19 to 21. They are presented in cooperation with the Plant Based Foods Association.

Expanding Your Plant-Based Options in Retail will take place on Monday, Jan. 30 at 1:30 p.m. on the Main Stage. 

Plant-based foods are here to stay, and opportunities abound for retailers to expand their assortment and merchandise in a way that makes it easy for shoppers. Hear from retail experts and representatives from the Plant Based Foods Association to learn more about findings and best practices that can inform the future of plant-based foods in retail. Speakers include Julie Emmett, Plant Based Foods Association; Erin Ransom, The Tofurky Company; Bill Puza, Hannaford; and Adrienne duBois, Follow Your Heart.

Expansion and Opportunities in Plant-Based Dairy Alternatives will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 10:30 a.m. on the Big Idea Stage. 

Plant-based dairy alternatives have made waves in retail over the past few years. Plant-based milks now make up 13 percent of the entire milk category. In the past year alone, plant-based cheese and ice cream grew 19 and 27 percent, respectively, illustrating the incredible opportunity in this sector. Moderated by Sabina Vyas of the Plant Based Foods Association with panelists Miyoko Schinner, Miyoko’s Creamery; Heba Mahmoud, Elmhurst; and Kai Nortey, Kubé Nice Cream.
